IKEA Lists Badkruka Bluetooth Speaker in Germany at €50 With Spotify Tap and Stereo Pairing

IKEA's new boxy Badkruka Bluetooth speaker has appeared on the company's German website at €50, with Spotify Tap, stereo pairing and three EQ settings, ahead of any official launch announcement.

The Badkruka measures 16cm wide by 16cm deep by 17.5cm tall, or roughly 6.3 by 6.3 by 6.9 inches, and is sold in black or pink. The housing is built from ABS plastic and polycarbonate. Product photographs show a power cord attached to the unit and the listing makes no reference to a rechargeable battery, indicating the speaker is not intended to be portable. That would set it apart from smaller battery-powered rivals at a similar price.

Physical playback and volume controls sit along the top of the speaker, alongside a dedicated Spotify Tap button. A single press of that button resumes playback from the point where the listener left off in Spotify on another device.

The German listing does not publish technical audio specifications. IKEA describes the sound as "powerful" and "balanced" and says it is "ideal for gaming, streaming, or listening to music", according to a machine translation of the page. The listing states that two speakers can be paired for synchronised stereo sound, a setup also shown in one of the promotional images. It indicates further units can be paired and synced as well. For IKEA's earlier Kallsup speaker, the company has said up to 100 units can be paired together.

Three EQ presets are available on the Badkruka so listeners can adjust output to suit different genres and preferences. Taken together, the feature set is unusual for a speaker in this price bracket.

The Badkruka follows the Kallsup, a smaller cube speaker that TechRadar tested earlier in 2026. The new model is several times larger. At €50 in Germany, the Badkruka works out at roughly $58, £43 or AU$81, though IKEA has not confirmed pricing or availability for other markets.
