MIIT Filing Shows Li i6 Switching to CALB Cells, Four-Seat Zeekr 9X Guanghui and Model Y Performance Badge

The 2026 Li i6 keeps the current model's overall outline at 4,950mm long, 1,935mm wide and 1,655mm tall, with a 3,000mm wheelbase. It moves to semi-hidden door handles, offers optional side and rear lidar, and updates its wheel designs. The powertrain is unchanged on paper: a 250kW rear motor on rear-drive cars, with a 150kW front motor added on all-wheel-drive versions, and a 200km/h top speed for both. The bigger change sits in the pack, according to the filing: the 2026 i6 uses lithium iron phosphate cells from CALB and Sunwoda, with packs assembled by Shandong Li Auto Battery and Zhejiang Li Auto Battery. The i6 on sale today sources cells from CATL and Sunwoda. The addition of CALB continues Li Auto's effort to spread its cell sourcing and reduce reliance on CATL. Li plans to open orders for the 2026 i6 in late September and start deliveries in early November.

The Zeekr 9X Guanghui appears as a variant filing, adding a four-seat layout along with exclusive purple paint, D-pillar trim and a Guanghui badge. Like the Zeekr 009 Guanghui, it sits above the existing flagship and is aimed at buyers who place more weight on rear-seat space and dedicated equipment. Tesla's filing concerns the Model Y Performance, which was already listed in the 409th batch with a 176kW front motor and a 291kW rear motor, a 250km/h top speed, 21-inch wheels, red calipers, a rear spoiler and 255mm front and 275mm rear tyres. This change adds an optional rear badge, and images show a performance mark on the right side of the tailgate similar to that of the Model 3 Performance. What remains open is the launch date and domestic price.

The second-generation Wey Blue Mountain is among the biggest departures in the batch. It keeps the name but abandons the rounded urban SUV shape for a flat, upright box with a large grille and vertically arranged lights. Both five- and six-seat versions were filed. The five-seat car measures 5,140/2,050/1,960mm; the six-seat version stretches to 5,300/2,050/1,960mm, with both on a 3,010mm wheelbase. The six-seat body is 160mm longer than the five-seat one, freeing space for the third row and luggage area rather than sharing a single body. Buyers can choose different grilles, front bumpers, wheels, tow-hook openings and electrical connectors, and some versions are rated to tow 2,000kg. Wey chief executive Zhao Yongpo said Blue Mountain owners live mainly in cities but have real travel needs such as crossing deserts and mountain terrain, so the car has to cover a wider range of uses; Wey describes it as a luxury box that combines a rugged presence with premium materials.

Ora filed a new Ora 5 three-box sedan with battery-electric, petrol and hybrid powertrains. Unlike the current two-box Ora 5, the new car is a larger sedan with a longer nose, a rising beltline and a roofline close to a fastback, and carries the GWM logo on the tailgate. The hybrid measures 4,758/1,833/1,626mm on a 2,720mm wheelbase, uses a 1.5T engine rated at 115kW and a ternary battery from SVOLT; the electric version has a 150kW motor.

Avatr's first 9-series SUV, the T09, was also filed. It measures 5,285/2,025/1,810mm on a 3,150mm wheelbase, with squarer front, side and rear styling than the Avatr 11 and 12, and offers two-tone bodywork and several grille designs. Powertrain options include 1.5T and 2.0T engines with dual- or tri-motor setups; the tri-motor version pairs a 180kW front motor with two 225kW rear motors. It uses a 71.24kWh ternary battery with a filed WLTC electric range of 300-330km.

BMW's Chinese joint venture filed a long-wheelbase Neue Klasse i3 and again listed the China-made Neue Klasse iX3. The i3 40L measures 4,864/1,865/1,490mm on a 3,005mm wheelbase, with a single 235kW rear motor and a CATL ternary battery. The iX3 30L entry version measures 4,885/1,895/1,634mm, also on a 3,005mm wheelbase, with the same 235kW rear motor. The iX3 has already opened reservations during the Chengdu auto show.

Geely's Galaxy M8 is another SUV over five metres long, at 5,205/1,999/1,800mm on a 3,030mm wheelbase with five seats. It matches the Galaxy M9 on wheelbase and dimensions but drops the third row. It uses a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system with a 120kW engine, in two- and four-wheel-drive versions, and a roughly 53.4kWh CATL lithium iron phosphate battery, with filed WLTC electric ranges of 251km and 231km.
