MOVA V70 Ultra Complete Review Finds Edge-Cleaning Fix, Dock Drawbacks

Android Authority: MOVA V70 Ultra Complete extends mop and brush for edges; dock and drying issues remain.

The review says the V70 Ultra Complete’s mop pad can extend up to 6.7 inches from the robot and the brush up to 4.7 inches. That design is intended to let the vacuum and mop reach along walls and other hard-to-reach edges, a problem the reviewer says has affected earlier robot vacuums whose cleaning hardware sits underneath the body. Android Authority likened the difference to painting a wall with your chest versus holding brushes in outstretched hands.

Beyond the extending arms, the review describes largely familiar vacuum hardware. A magnetic top plate comes off to access the dust bin and filter, and the robot uses a dual-brush design that the reviewer says performed without tangles jamming operation during testing. The brushes can be lifted out after removing their protective housing, with color coding to show how they should be reinstalled. The mop pads remain in the base station when not in use, and the mop water tank is not user-accessible, according to the review.

The base station earns praise for a dedicated soap tank that is separate from the clean and dirty water tanks, avoiding the need to pre-mix cleaning solution. Android Authority says the system supports two cleaning solutions, including a specialized cleaner such as an enzymatic one for pet messes. The V70 Ultra Complete also uses a bagless emptying system: dirt goes into a solid-walled dustbin that can be removed and emptied, and the bin has its own cleanable air filter.

The review also lists complaints. The clean and dirty water tanks are easy to reach because the top of the base station lifts, but the solution tanks and dust bin sit behind a front panel that pops off and does not go back on smoothly because of awkward tabs, Android Authority says. The reviewer also says the base station enters a drying mode even after vacuum-only sessions and emits a “hot plastic” smell.

The V70 Ultra Complete is priced at $1,299 on Amazon, according to the review. Android Authority’s assessment is that the robot solves a major edge-cleaning problem but does not eliminate every design and usability concern.
