Rokid launches Glasses 2 and brings Qianwen Office to AI glasses

Users add Qianwen Office in the smart agent store in the Rokid AI App, bind their Qianwen Office account, and can then wake the service by voice and issue tasks, Leiphone reported. Results appear on the glasses. In one example, a user says, “Qianwen Office, help me research the current state of the AI glasses industry,” and the service executes the task, pushes status notifications and delivers a report to the glasses. If a task involves what the wearer sees, the user can ask about a proposal on a meeting table and follow up on specific risks.

According to Leiphone, Rokid supplies hardware, system adaptation, account access and the glasses-side interaction entry, while Qianwen Office supplies agent execution, voice and image understanding, context management, tool orchestration and result generation. The integration also lets users start DingTalk tasks such as sending messages, creating schedules and to-dos, and organizing documents by voice.

Ifanr, which used Rokid Glasses 2 for a week before the launch, reported that the new model has a square-rounded frame, larger soft nose pads and wider-opening temples. The camera opening is the only cutout on the front; the indicator light is hidden when off. The optical engine at the nose bridge is smaller, and the lenses are clearer than the first generation, with less oiliness and reflection and a fainter grating when viewed from outside.

The camera uses a new 12-megapixel CMOS sensor, supports HDR and RAW 14 and pairs a 1GM5P glass-plastic lens group. Ifanr said backlit portraits kept both faces and sky details. Video supports HDR at 2.5K, 4K at 9:16 and 30 frames per second, and 2K at 60 frames per second, with a 120-frame update planned through OTA. The display allows live preview and playback.

Rokid increased battery capacity by 263mAh, or 25% over the previous generation, using a silicon anode, stacked process and irregular layout, according to ifanr. The new Charging Capsule 2 includes a case and two small capsules with a total capacity of 2,170mAh and can charge the glasses six times.

Ifanr highlighted the upgraded AI meeting minutes: the glasses can record audio and take photos during a meeting, then generate an illustrated summary. Real-time call translation and an “AI all-day recall” feature are due through OTA. The smart agent store includes WorkBuddy for remote control and head-up display, community agents such as a hot-search aggregator and a head-motion fishing game, and Rokid’s work with JD JoyAI on active reminders and obstacle avoidance for visually impaired users.

Rokid also showed Rokid Color, its first full-color waveguide glasses, with a custom 0.16cc Micro-LED full-color optical engine, 16.77 million colors, 167% sRGB color gamut volume and 100% sRGB coverage. Ifanr said it weighs 55 grams, less than the monochrome Rokid Glasses 2. Founder Misa called the launch “the iPhone moment for AI glasses,” according to ifanr. The Rokid Ring monitors heart rate, temperature, blood oxygen, calories and sleep, and works as an input device for the glasses through finger microgestures; ifanr reported menu selection by a rotary gesture on the index finger, short-video scrolling and liking in Douyin on Rokid Color, and WeChat voice-to-text, voice messages and text input. Rokid plans to open interfaces to developers and partners for custom gestures.

Rokid priced Rokid Glasses 2 from 3,699 yuan, Rokid Color from 4,599 yuan and Rokid Ring at 1,699 yuan, with a pre-sale price of 998 yuan. The Charging Capsule 2 costs 599 yuan. Ifanr said the event left it more inclined to see Rokid as an AI interaction company, with glasses as its current form.
