Android Authority reported that the TAB A1 has an 11-inch 2.1K display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The display is intended to make movies, shows, web pages and social feeds sharper and smoother than lower-cost tablets usually offer, the report said. TCL positions the device for streaming, browsing, reading and light productivity, according to the report, which also described use cases including a couch tablet, a travel screen and a basic school-and-home device.

Inside, the tablet pairs a MediaTek Helio G100 chip with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Android Authority said that configuration suggests solid day-to-day performance for common apps and multitasking. The device also has an 8,000mAh battery, USB-C charging and Android 16 with Google services, plus some TCL productivity and AI-style features.

At $179.97, the tablet offers a large screen, a faster refresh rate, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and a battery size suited to entertainment and study use, according to the report. Android Authority said the deal makes the TAB A1 easy to notice before the price goes back up.
