Amazon makes Quick agentic AI platform generally available for Windows and macOS

The updated mobile activity feed consolidates email, calendar, messaging and customer relations management into one priority view, according to SiliconANGLE. AI agents handle routine items in the background, while high-value items that have been triaged surface for humans to manage in the foreground, Amazon said.

Amazon says Quick is designed to give teams a sense of momentum by providing a dashboard that brings together data across systems, records, meetings, follow-ups and chats in one place throughout the workday. The company describes a common problem: the tools teams use to stay productive keep multiplying, but the data they produce gets stuck inside those tools, separating and fragmenting visibility.

Quick pulls that data into one overarching view of work, allowing AI agents to sort through what is low priority, what can be quickly summarized, turned into a bullet point, resolved or replied to with text, according to the report.

As the number of tools increases, so does the number of notifications. SiliconANGLE reported that what began as a small number of alerts has become a firehose of notices across the day. Ten messages, often high-priority emails from coworkers or customers, can expand into a flurry of alerts from tools, software popups and updates, combining into hundreds of messages even before lunch, the report said.

Quick addresses this by making sure the user knows which notifications relate to what they are working on at that moment, such as projects flagged as extremely high priority because they are actively discussing them in email, working on chats in Quick or paying attention to the tool, according to SiliconANGLE. Lower-priority notifications do not vanish. They remain in their own space, where users can pull them out, set them aside and bring them back if they matter later.

Agents keep working between desktop and mobile even after users close their desktop, the report said. A user can customize a Quick autonomous agent to scan their inbox before they open it in the morning and provide a tailored summary of what happened overnight, or to prepare a summary of weekly reports every Monday, according to SiliconANGLE. Turning off a computer or shutting a laptop does not stop the agents, which continue running in the background and remain accessible across different interfaces.

Amazon stressed that this is because the system runs on Amazon Web Services Inc. infrastructure, allowing it to follow users wherever they go, according to the report. Amazon said the platform gains security, privacy and power from the company's enterprise-grade management. Enterprise data stays secure within firewalls, and conversations remain private and auditable within CloudWatch and CloudTrail, the company said.
