Geely Galaxy TT Launches From 129,900 Yuan; IM LS6 Pre-Sale Starts at 209,900 Yuan
Geely Galaxy TT goes on sale from 129,900 yuan with 800V and lidar; IM LS6 pre-sale starts at 209,900 yuan with steer-by-wire chassis.
Geely's Galaxy TT was first opened for pre-sale on Aug. 13, and small-deposit orders later exceeded 20,000 units, Aifanr reported. The TT Ultra limited version, which began pre-sale earlier, sold out its first 999 units in 27 minutes, prompting an additional 699 units. The production launch introduced five models: the 640 km rear-wheel-drive Exclusive at 139,900 yuan, the 640 km rear-wheel-drive Prestige at 149,900 yuan, the 640 km rear-wheel-drive Flagship at 159,900 yuan, the 725 km rear-wheel-drive Flagship at 169,900 yuan and the TT Ultra Limited at 195,900 yuan. Orders placed before Oct. 7 receive a 6,000 yuan purchase tax cash subsidy and a 4,000 yuan insurance cash subsidy, a total of 10,000 yuan, lowering the introductory price range to 129,900 to 185,900 yuan.
The Galaxy TT is a nearly 5-meter-long sedan. All versions use an 800V high-voltage platform, a CATL Shenxing TT custom lithium iron phosphate battery and a native rear-drive chassis. Geely said it is the first mass-produced model with the Thunder 16-in-1 intelligent electric drive. The four rear-wheel-drive versions use a rear motor with 245 kW maximum power and 320 Nm peak torque. The 16-in-1 drive integrates 12 hardware functions and four software capabilities, weighs 75 kg, is more than 15% lighter than mainstream products and reaches 93.8% CLTC comprehensive efficiency. With 800V and 6C charging, Geely said the battery can go from 10% to 80% in about 11.6 minutes and add more than 400 km of range in 11 minutes. In a thermal runaway test, the CATL Shenxing TT battery was observed for 24 hours with no fire, no explosion and no smoke, earning a five-star rating from the China Electric Vehicle Fire Safety Index.
The chassis uses an all-aluminum front double-wishbone suspension, a reinforced rear five-link independent suspension and hydraulic bushings. Lotus Europe team took part in development and tuning, according to Geely. Customers who order and lock before Oct. 7 receive the FSD adaptive variable damping suspension for free. Geely said the setup improves high-speed cornering anti-roll capability by 8% and enables a maximum lateral acceleration of 1G. Two Galaxy TT cars completed a 46.094 km continuous drift on a wet road, setting a Guinness World Record for the longest continuous two-car drift on a wet road by an electric vehicle.
All Galaxy TT models use lidar for driver assistance, with Qianli Haohan G-ASD H5 and H7 systems. The systems rely on a WAM world behavior model and a one-stage end-to-end model for environmental perception and driving decisions. Functions cover highway and urban pilot assistance, multi-scenario parking and D2D, or door-to-door, parking-space-to-parking-space navigation. Geely also showed a non-standard road test: the car drove at night up Niubei Mountain, a 40.8 km route with 58 curves, including 21 180-degree hairpin turns, without road lighting, on cliffside narrow roads with dense fog, blind-spot obstacles and oncoming high beams. Geely said the car reached the summit with zero takeovers.
The TT Ultra uses a 75.2 kWh battery and dual motors with a combined 425 kW and 597 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and offering 650 km CLTC range. It adds CCD continuous variable damping dampers, a Boost mode and more complete sport configuration. Geely will sell 460 units per month, with the first two batches of pre-order customers getting priority delivery. Pre-sale customers continue to receive packages worth 49,000 yuan in total: a high-customization appearance package, a driver assistance package, a sport comfort package and a trendy collectibles package. Owners also get a Handling by Lotus limited badge and a 6,999 yuan track elite driving training course.
The Galaxy TT measures 4,999 mm long, 1,919 mm wide and 1,479 mm tall, with a 2,920 mm wheelbase and a drag coefficient of 0.22. It has a closed front face, a shark-nose shape, low-mounted headlights, frameless doors, semi-hidden door handles, a through taillight and an active electric rear spoiler. The spoiler has three adjustments, a maximum opening angle of 22.5 degrees and can provide up to 508 N of downforce. Geely uses an ultra-thin battery and CTB battery-body integration to reduce the height occupied by the electric system. It said longitudinal passenger space increases by more than 30 mm compared with the previous generation. The front trunk holds 110 liters and the rear trunk 528 liters. The front trunk supports power suction, knock-to-open and water washing and drainage. Inside, the car has a 10.2-inch instrument screen, a 15.4-inch 2.5K central screen and a 25.6-inch AR-HUD, with Flyme Auto 2 and a Super Eva intelligent agent. Standard equipment includes power front seats, driver ventilation, heating and massage, a heat pump air conditioner and a panoramic roof. Geely also offers a 23-speaker Flyme Sound system, RNC active noise cancellation, double-layer acoustic glass and front and rear seat ventilation and heating. It joins the Xingyuan entry model and the Galaxy E8, which has entered the mid-to-large pure electric sedan market above 150,000 yuan, as Galaxy's more sporty offering for buyers who want sporty styling while still needing family and daily-use space.
Also on Sept. 10, IM Motors opened pre-sales for the new-generation LS6. The line-up has three pure electric models: the Max at 209,900 yuan with a 76 kWh battery, 650 km CLTC range, rear-wheel drive and 6.4-second 0-100 km/h acceleration; the Pro Max at 229,900 yuan with a 93 kWh battery, 782 km CLTC range, rear-wheel drive and 5.4-second acceleration; and the Ultra at 264,900 yuan with a 103 kWh battery, 750 km CLTC range, dual-motor all-wheel drive and 3.48-second acceleration. During pre-sale, a 2,000 yuan intent deposit can be used as a 5,000 yuan cash deduction, and the first non-commercial owner receives lifetime battery warranty. IM also showed a steering-wheel-free engineering test car, saying it uses technology from the same source as the new LS6; Tesla's Cybercab began operating in the United States earlier in September. The LS6 is one of the first models under IM's NEXT·2028 strategy and comes with the NEO three-electric architecture, a full steer-by-wire chassis and the IM Claw intelligent agent.
IM said the LS6's steer-by-wire system reaches ASIL D functional safety level and has a failure probability below 10 FIT, or about one failure per 100 million hours of continuous operation. The car has dual power, dual communication and dual hardware backups. If the front steering has a double failure, rear-wheel steering can act as a third redundancy and work with the braking system to slow the car and bring it to a safe stop. At low speed, the steering wheel turns half a circle lock-to-lock, and rear-wheel steering reduces the minimum turning radius to 4.49 meters. At high speed, the system lowers steering sensitivity. It offers three adjustable modes and personalized settings. IM said its SynVector full-domain steer-by-wire vector torque coordination control can manage power, braking and steering for each wheel, with chassis response in as little as 20 ms, compared with about 200 ms for human instinct. The system can intervene earlier in blowouts, wet roads or emergency avoidance. IM's earlier L6 sedan took the first step with a full steer-by-wire chassis, and the LS6 continues the full steer-by-wire Lizard chassis as standard. IM calls it the industry's first family SUV with a full steer-by-wire chassis across the line-up.
The NEO three-electric architecture adjusts the electric drive, thermal management, electrical architecture and software. The NEO Hurricane motor improves electric drive efficiency by 2.8% and cuts its own weight by 8%. The IM ECU Master 3.0 energy management system coordinates vehicle energy consumption. IM said the minimum energy consumption is 12.7 kWh per 100 km, and the same kilowatt-hour can run nearly 10% farther than comparable models, equivalent to a minimum of about 4 cents per kilometer. The LS6 is 4,937 mm long with a 2,960 mm wheelbase, and IM said the cabin has a 90% room rate. Ventilation, heating and massage are standard for the seats, and the rear backrest has electric stepless adjustment with a maximum recline of 131 degrees. The driver's seat can be upgraded to a 4D mechanical massage seat, which uses mechanical massage heads instead of airbag inflation and is free during the pre-sale period. The cockpit has a 27.1-inch Mini LED screen, and the front passenger seat offers zero-gravity, empress-chair and forward-folding modes, with an optional 15.6-inch 3K entertainment screen. The IM Claw intelligent agent is designed for continuous tasks; a single sentence can include picking up a person, making a stop along the way and a temporary adjustment, and the system changes the route in real time. Driver assistance is handled by Momenta-supported IM AD. The Momenta physical AI world model is standard, and the IM AD full-function package with urban pilot assistance is free during pre-sale, with lifetime free use for the first non-commercial owner.
