Gemini may add bulk chat deletion and a 'Remembered items' manager

Gemini tests bulk chat deletion and a 'Remembered items' page for saved text and images, Android Authority reports.

Gemini users can currently select individual conversations from a list and choose to share, pin or delete them, Android Authority reported. Google is working on support for selecting multiple conversations at once, which would make bulk deletion easier. The report did not say when the option might become available.

In a separate report, Android Authority said Google is building a "Remembered items" section inside Gemini's Personal Intelligence settings. The section, found in version 17.70.10.sa.arm64 of the Google app, is described as a place to "view and manage the text and images you've saved to memory."

The new section would share a settings menu with Gemini's existing Memory feature. Memory tracks information Gemini learns about users from past chats, while Remembered items would list what users have explicitly told the assistant to remember, according to the report.

Tapping Remembered items opens a chat-like interface, but the underlying function is not active, Android Authority reported. The page appeared blank with an error at the bottom, and a text box that appears intended for adding or removing details also returned an error when used.

At present, the simplest way to check what Gemini has been asked to remember is to ask the assistant directly, the report said. Android Authority previously reported that Google was working on an easier way to ask Gemini to remember things and on a dedicated Remember shortcut for the Gemini overlay.

Google has not announced either feature, and the reports did not provide a release timeline. Both were identified through flags enabled during app teardowns rather than through public releases.
