GMKtec M6 Ultra mini PC falls to $500 in limited-time Amazon deal
TechRadar reports Amazon's limited-time $500 deal on the GMKtec M6 Ultra mini PC with Ryzen 5, 16GB DDR5 and 1TB SSD.
The system uses a six-core, 12-thread AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS processor with Radeon 760M integrated graphics. It supports dual-channel DDR5 memory up to 128GB and has two M.2 NVMe slots. Connectivity includes two USB4 ports, HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, dual 2.5G Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, and the PC can be VESA-mounted behind a monitor.
TechRadar's article calls the M6 Ultra its favorite mini PC overall and says it scored 4.5 stars in its review; the same article also says reviewer Alastair Jennings gave the 32GB and 1TB configuration four stars. Jennings found it handled the tasks he tried, praised how easily the RAM and storage can be upgraded, and said it stays quiet during everyday use. He noted that the fans get louder under load and that gaming is limited to lower settings without a dedicated graphics card, though the USB4 ports allow an external GPU to be added.
On price, TechRadar says the Amazon offer is better than other offers it saw for the same machine. On GMKtec's website, $500 buys the M6 Ultra with 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD, the article says. TechRadar adds that a Black Friday discount is possible but not guaranteed.
TechRadar recommends the M6 Ultra for people who want a compact, quiet PC for office work, media streaming and casual gaming, citing memory and storage expansion and eGPU support as extra versatility. It says buyers should skip it if they want to play modern games at high settings without buying an external GPU.
