OnePlus reveals Buds Clip open-ear earbuds with dual drivers and 40-hour battery

OnePlus unveils Buds Clip, its first open-ear earbuds, with dual drivers, 40-hour battery and no pricing yet.

The Buds Clip use an adaptive nickel-titanium C-bridge and interchangeable left/right ear detection, allowing either earbud to be worn in either ear. OnePlus says the earbuds have Dynaudio-tuned dual drivers, an 11mm woofer and a 9mm tweeter, plus LHDC 5.0 Hi-Res support. Dipole sound-field technology is intended to reduce audio leakage.

OnePlus lists up to 40 hours of total battery life, Bluetooth 6.1 and an IP55 rating. The earbuds are listed globally in three colors; the company has not announced pricing or a release date.

The global listing indicates the product is intended for a wider release beyond OnePlus’s home market of China, Android Authority reported. OnePlus has exited the US and EU markets but still operates in some global regions, according to the report.

The Buds Clip puts OnePlus into a growing segment of clip-style true wireless earphones designed for all-day awareness and comfort. Android Authority reported that the product takes direct aim at rivals including the Bose Ultra Open (2nd Gen) Earbuds and the Sony LinkBuds Clip.
