OpenAI Adds Team Editing, Private Sharing and Custom Domains to ChatGPT Sites

The new capability, called Build Together, lets a user invite other people to work on the same Site. Those invited can edit, save and publish changes themselves, rather than one person making every change while everyone else sends suggestions back and forth. Android Authority described the feature as aimed at situations such as putting together a website for a small event or building a quick tool for work, where everyone involved can now work on the project directly.

Sites can now also stay private and be shared with specific people, giving users an option short of making a project publicly available. The update further allows Sites to use custom domains, and ChatGPT can now inspect a Site's database. Deployment of a Site is now about twice as fast as before.

ChatGPT Sites launched about three months ago and lets users create, host and share websites and lightweight web apps simply by describing what they want. Until this update, Android Authority reported, building one was mostly a solo affair.

The outlet noted that OpenAI has been releasing new capabilities for ChatGPT at a rapid pace, adding features to the product on a near-continuous basis. Android Authority did not specify when the new Sites features would reach all users.
