OPPO Find X10 Pro Max tops Galaxy S26 Ultra in Android Authority camera test
Android Authority's Oct. 27, 2026 camera comparison found OPPO's Find X10 Pro Max, with three 200MP rear cameras, produced sharper, warmer and more consistent photos than Samsung's Galaxy S26 Ultra in most tested scenes.
The Find X10 Pro Max main 200MP ISOCELL HPC camera was co-developed with Samsung and tuned with Hasselblad, according to the report. The Galaxy S26 Ultra's 200MP main camera uses an ISOCELL HP2 sensor, the same sensor as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, with an altered aperture.
In main-camera tests, Android Authority said the Find X10 Pro Max captured accurate colors without overexposure in a scene with bright sunlight to the left, using 17 stops of dynamic range. It said the Galaxy S26 Ultra photo lacked atmosphere and was noisier and hazier on close inspection. Indoors, the OPPO photo showed warmth and color accuracy from wooden pews to stone arches; the Samsung photo was cooler and lacked detail. In a tunnel scene, the outlet said OPPO's exposure and HDR better showed detail through the entrance to a courtyard, while Samsung's camera did not do badly but lacked character, warmth and technical prowess.
For telephoto, Android Authority said the Find X10 Pro Max's 70mm 200MP camera uses its high megapixel count and processing to deliver 3x and 6x shots at optical quality, plus 13.2x zoom when the 6x icon is double-tapped. The Galaxy S26 Ultra has 3x and 5x optical zoom and 10x hybrid zoom. The outlet noted framing differences.
In a 5x/6x photo of a blue Suzuki Jimny, Android Authority said the Samsung image had detailed ground as an outlier but the vehicle was far sharper in the OPPO image; Samsung suffered from haze and blur throughout, especially with telephoto. In a 3x flower photo, the outlet called the Galaxy S26 Ultra result bad, citing pixelation in the background, blown-out petal colors and a lack of depth. It said the OPPO image was sharp, colorful and balanced with beautiful depth of field.
In better lighting, the Galaxy S26 Ultra's 3x zoom performed well, but Android Authority said stability problems produced hazy detail in a photo of buildings. The Find X10 Pro Max was sharper every time, although colors and balance were more evenly matched. At 10x and 13.2x, the outlet said results were mixed: OPPO images looked quite processed and slightly unnatural, depending on the subject, with obvious smoothing, while Samsung continued to show haze and stability issues. In a final 3x photo of a vase and wild teasel, the outlet said the two phones could take similar photos when not viewed too critically; it liked the OPPO image's warmth but said it could be edited into the Samsung photo.
Android Authority said the Find X10 Pro Max's 200MP ultrawide camera retained the color, vibrancy, warmth and detail seen in its main and telephoto cameras, a rare level of consistency for a wide-angle camera. Compared with the Galaxy S26 Ultra's 50MP wide-angle camera, the difference in detail was immediately noticeable in grass and wood grain in the first ultrawide photo. In a second photo, the outlet said the same differences appeared in signs hanging from a wall.
Editor's Summary
Android Authority's comparison found the OPPO Find X10 Pro Max delivered sharper, more colorful and more consistent images across main, telephoto and ultrawide cameras in most of the scenes tested. The Galaxy S26 Ultra remained competitive in some better-lit and less critical shots, but the outlet reported haze, stability and detail issues. The test shows how multi-200MP camera hardware and tuning are being used to differentiate flagship phones.
