The Mob Premieres on Hulu and Disney+ With Celebrity Cast and $250,000 Prize
The Mob, hosted by Parker Posey, premieres October 26 on Hulu in the US and Disney+ internationally. Twelve celebrities compete in mob-themed challenges for a $250,000 prize.
The series places 12 celebrities in a luxurious Italian villa, where they take part in mob-themed challenges. A $250,000 prize is offered to the winner, and in each episode a different celebrity is nominated as the Don and becomes leader of the pack, TechRadar reports.
Parker Posey hosts the show. The contestants include Aida Turturro, Bella Palk, Bruno Tonioli, Chelsea Lazkani, Debi Mazar, Demi Engemann, Harry Jowsey, Joe Gorga, Maria Georgas, Romeo Miller, Shane Parton and Willam Belli.
TechRadar says The Mob is produced by the same team behind The Traitors, and new episodes are released weekly. The guide describes the format as featuring drama, conniving celebrities and high-stakes tasks.
In the US, the show streams on Hulu, where plans start at $11.99 per month, or through a Disney+ Bundle that costs one dollar more, according to the guide. Viewers in Canada, the UK, Australia and other markets outside the US can watch on Disney+; subscriptions start at £5.99 per month in the UK, $8.99 in Canada and $9.99 in Australia.
TechRadar reports that UK fans could watch at least some of The Mob for free by signing up for a Disney+ free trial. It says there is no free-trial option for Disney+ in the US, Canada or Australia, or for Hulu in the US.
For viewers traveling outside their home country, TechRadar's guide recommends using a VPN to make a device appear to be back in the home country and access the usual streaming service. It names NordVPN as its preferred provider and notes that access to services from other countries is subject to those services' terms and conditions.
