2026 NRL Grand Final: Free 9Now Stream and International Options for Roosters vs Knights
TechRadar: 2026 NRL Grand Final streams free on 9Now in Australia, with international options.
TechRadar describes the match as a David vs Goliath clash. The Roosters have reached eight previous Grand Finals and won four, including two in the past decade. The Knights were wooden-spoon winners last season for the fifth time in their history. Newcastle's only previous Grand Final appearance came in 2001, when it upset the Eels.
Newcastle finished seventh on the ladder but reached the Grand Final by beating minor premiers Penrith and second-placed New Zealand, according to TechRadar. Last weekend, the Knights trailed the Panthers and were down to 12 men after Phoenix Crossland's tackle on Nathan Cleary, but came back through Tyson Frizell, Sandon Smith and Kalyn Ponga.
The Roosters are more accustomed to the occasion, and TechRadar notes the Grand Final is effectively a home match for Trent Robinson's team. They started quickly against the Dolphins last weekend, and if their forwards, led by Victor Radley, reproduce that intensity, TechRadar suggests it could be a long day for Newcastle. Mark Nawaqanitawase is also looking to finish strongly before moving to Japan to switch codes again.
For Australian viewers, the match is being shown on free-to-air Channel Nine. TechRadar says new users can register for a free 9Now account and will need an Australian postcode, such as 2026, to access the service. Viewers traveling outside Australia can use a VPN, such as NordVPN, to unblock the free stream as if they were back home.
In the United States, TechRadar reports the Grand Final will be shown on FS2 and Fox One. Fox One starts at $19.99 per month or $99 per year after a three-day free trial. FS2 is carried by streaming platforms including YouTube TV and Fubo, which offer new customers free trials. Sling TV's Select plan at $19.99 per month and Blue plan at $45.99 per month also include access to the Fox One app. The game is also available on Watch NRL for $34.
In the United Kingdom, the match will be available on Sky Sports Mix and Sky Sports+, according to TechRadar. Sky Sports packages start at £35 per month, with £20 per month pricing for existing Sky customers, and the channels can also be accessed through a NOW Sports membership. Watch NRL is offering the Roosters vs Knights game for £28.
In New Zealand, Sky Sport NZ is showing the Grand Final on Sky Sport 1. TechRadar says viewers can access it through satellite TV or the Sky Sport Now subscription service, which starts at NZ$29.99 per day or NZ$59.99 per month.
In Canada, TechRadar lists Sportsnet as the broadcaster. It says viewers without cable can use the Sportsnet+ streaming service.
TechRadar recommends NordVPN for viewers outside their home country who want to unlock their usual streaming service. It says the service is currently offered with up to 75 percent off and three extra months free.
