2027 Pebble Flow gains up to 4 kW solar charging for electric camping
The 2027 Pebble Flow electric camping trailer will add a solar kit capable of up to 4 kW of recharging, according to Ars Technica, building on a 45 kWh LFP battery and Flow's claim that it can generate more power than a typical day of camping uses.
Earlier Flow models could be equipped with an optional 1.1 kWh panel on the roof. The new kit adds another 2 kWh through four portable panels, according to Ars Technica. For 2027, the trailer can be recharged by up to 4 kW of solar panels, and Flow says that should be sufficient to produce more electricity than a camper will use in an average day.
The update comes as interest in electrified camping has grown among campers seeking to avoid generator noise. Ars Technica noted that anyone whose sleep has been disturbed by another camper's generator running at night would likely understand the appeal. The outlet also said that coverage of electric vans often prompts questions about when camper conversions might appear.
Several vehicle makers have shown or announced electric camping concepts. Kia and Winnebago displayed such concepts a couple of years ago, and Volkswagen is adding a camper trim to its electric ID. Buzz, Ars Technica reported. In the trailer segment, Colorado Teardrop did not make it, while some other electrified trailers remain in development, according to the report.
The Pebble Flow has been available for a couple of years. Ars Technica reported that the streamlined trailer was introduced in 2025 and is now receiving the 2027 solar update. The report did not include pricing or a release date for the 2027 model.
