9-1-1 Returns for a Tenth Season on ABC With a Volcano Emergency and a Changing 118

9-1-1 returns for a tenth season on ABC on October 15, opening with a Los Angeles volcano emergency as Athena Grant works as a detective and the 118 shifts toward mentoring newer recruits.

Angela Bassett returns as Athena Grant, now working as a detective. According to the published episode guide, she leans on instinct to crack a mysterious new case in the opening episode. The original members of the 118 take on mentorship roles and pass their knowledge to younger recruits. Buck learns how to become a parent to his foster child Theo, Chimney takes over as captain and tries to live up to Bobby's legacy, Harry stays with firefighting, May begins a nursing career, and the season will include an origin story for Ravi.

The first episode is titled That Sinking Feeling and has the 118 facing an emergency that shakes Los Angeles while May finds confidence in a new job. Titles for the next four episodes have been released — Fire in the Hole, Streets of Fire, Imposter Syndrome and Who's Your Daddy — but no synopses for those episodes have been published yet.

In the United States, viewers can watch on ABC or stream episodes on Hulu, where plans start at $11.99 a month, or through the Disney Plus Bundle. Cord-cutters can also reach ABC through Sling TV in selected cities, Fubo, YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV. TechRadar notes that YouTube TV is currently offering a 21-day free trial.

In Canada, the season airs on GlobalTV and the StackTV app. According to the TechRadar guide, British viewers can expect the season to land on Disney+, but no official UK release date has been announced and fans there may have to wait until November 2026. In Australia, Disney+ will carry the episodes after a slight delay from the US broadcast, and 7plus will stream them later; at present 7plus only holds previous episodes.

The TechRadar guide also recommends using a virtual private network, naming NordVPN as its top choice and advertising a 75 percent discount with three months extra free and a complimentary Amazon gift card, as a way to reach domestic streaming services while abroad. It describes the process as installing the app, selecting a server in the country whose service the viewer wants, and then opening that streaming service.
