9to5Mac Lists Accessory Picks for Apple’s iPhone Duo

9to5Mac reported that iPhone Duo is the first iPhone to support Apple Pencil, allowing handwritten notes and sketches. Support is scheduled to arrive next week through the iOS 27.2 software update, and Apple says it requires an Apple Pencil (USB-C); no other Pencil models are compatible. The stylus can be used on both the outer and inner displays, according to the report. The publication noted that the design of Apple’s first foldable was inspired by the proportions of a standard A-series paper notebook. It listed Apple Pencil (USB-C) at $69, down from $79.

For charging, 9to5Mac reported that iPhone Duo supports fast charging and can reach 50 percent in 20 minutes, but the fastest speeds require a suitable power adapter. It recommended Apple’s 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max, priced at $34, down from $39, and Anker’s 100W USB-C Charger with a 5-foot cable, priced at $29. The report said iPhone Duo, like other models, ships without a power adapter and includes only a USB-C cable.

9to5Mac also recommended ESR’s MagSafe Car Mount, priced at $19, down from $29, saying the magnetic attachment holds the phone securely and the mount clips to an air-conditioning vent. The publication said it pairs the phone with CarPlay so Apple Maps navigation appears on the vehicle screen while the iPhone shows step-by-step directions, and it expects that setup to improve with the iPhone Duo’s larger screen.

Among cases, 9to5Mac listed SPIDERCASE Magnetic Case at $29 with a built-in stand and screen protector; Spigen Ultra Hybrid Pro at $39, a clear MagSafe-compatible case; Apple iPhone Duo Folio with Kickstand at $129; and Apple iPhone Duo Case at $79.

The report said iPhone Duo will include an upgrade to the current iPhone StandBy feature. In “standing” mode, the device can display StandBy views even when it is not charging, including Home Camera and Home Modular views that provide access to smart-home accessories. 9to5Mac recommended Aqara G100 2K security camera at $39 and eufy 4K security camera at $69 for HomeKit compatibility.

9to5Mac added AirPods Pro 3 as a bonus pick, priced at $199, down from $249. It said the earbuds are not specific to iPhone Duo but are its favorite iPhone accessory, citing noise cancellation for focus at work.
