Abbott Elementary Season 6 Premieres Oct. 7 on ABC, Streams Weekly on Hulu

Abbott Elementary season 6 debuts Oct. 7 on ABC, with weekly episodes streaming on Hulu in the U.S., per TechRadar.

The guide lists the returning cast as Quinta Brunson as Janine Teagues, Tyler James Williams as Gregory Eddie, Janelle James as Ava Coleman, Lisa Ann Walter as Melissa Schemmenti, Chris Perfetti as Jacob Hill, William Stanford Davis as Mr. Johnson and Sheryl Lee Ralph as Barbara Howard.

For the new season, Gregory and Ava must adjust to a new dynamic after Gregory's promotion, while Barbara joins forces with Jacob to work through her own problems, TechRadar reported. Janine's objectives are described as more modest and center on a classroom makeover, and Melissa wants to earn her classroom back. The season also brings substitute teachers coming and going, staff members earning new qualifications and what the outlet describes as a spot of healthy competition.

TechRadar's episode guide lists the first three instalments. "Jungle Classroom" airs October 7 and covers Gregory and Ava's new dynamic, Barbara turning to Jacob for help, Janine's classroom makeover and Melissa's effort to win her classroom back. "Check-Ins" follows on October 14, with Gregory juggling the demands of two roles while Jacob and Melissa struggle to compromise. In "Tryouts" on October 21, the step team auditions for a major competition as Melissa and Barbara take a special education certification course and Janine, Gregory and Jacob welcome a new substitute. Episode four, scheduled for October 28, centers on a Halloween party.

The guide gives conflicting figures for the season's length. Its introduction refers to 22 new episodes, while the later episode guide states there will be eight episodes in total. The outlet does not explain the discrepancy.

In the United States, viewers without cable can reach ABC through streaming services including Sling TV in selected cities, Fubo, YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV, according to the guide. Hulu carries the episodes on demand, with plans starting at $11.99 per month after a free 30-day trial, and a Disney Plus Bundle available for a dollar more. TechRadar states that YouTube TV's current 21-day free trial also covers NCIS season 24, NCIS Origins season 3 and Premier League football.

For viewers outside the United States, TechRadar says the season will be available on Disney Plus but that no release date has been confirmed, and the outlet says it will update the guide when that changes.

The guide also recommends NordVPN for viewers who are travelling and want to reach their usual streaming service, describing a three-step process of installing the app, selecting a server location such as the United States, and then opening the streaming service. TechRadar cites a 75% discount, three extra months free and a complimentary Amazon gift card with the service, and notes that it evaluates and tests VPN services on the basis of legal recreational use.
