The report notes conflicting information about the iPhone 18 Pro’s thickness. A leaker earlier suggested that at least the iPhone 18 Pro Max would be thicker and heavier than its predecessor, while leaked materials from an iPhone supplier indicated that the iPhone 18 Pro would be two millimeters thicker than previous models. Leaked Tata images appeared to confirm that both the overall body and the rear camera plateau have become thicker. Yet another leaker stated that the thickness of the iPhone 18 Pro Max would be identical to last year’s model.

9to5Mac points out that Apple sometimes provides established case makers with early access to dimensions to ensure third-party cases are available at launch. On the other hand, accessory makers have sometimes made guesses based on rumors and been wrong. The publication advises caution when ordering cases before the new iPhone is officially unveiled.
