TechRadar said the laptop is not officially discounted. The $569 figure depends on the gift-card stacking method: customers buy two $100 gift cards, receive the $30 voucher, and use both toward the purchase.

The S16 has an eight-core, 16-thread Ryzen 7 H255 processor with a maximum boost clock of 4.9GHz, Radeon 780M integrated graphics, 24GB DDR5 RAM, a 512GB SSD and Windows 11 Pro. It also has two SO-DIMM memory slots, supporting up to 64GB, and a second M.2 slot for up to 4TB total storage across both slots, according to TechRadar.

The 16-inch display has a 1920 x 1200 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. Other features include a backlit keyboard, Wi-Fi 6, two full-featured USB-C ports, HDMI 2.0 and a physical webcam privacy switch.

TechRadar described the S16 as suited to office work, multitasking, everyday computing and occasional gaming. It said the integrated Radeon 780M graphics are less powerful than a dedicated gaming GPU, so the laptop is not intended for demanding modern games or graphics-intensive creative work such as video editing at high settings. The publication also said buyers who prioritize portability may prefer a smaller, lighter laptop.
