Alipay, iFlytek launch Xunbao Plan to expand smart cockpit services

Alipay and iFlytek launched the Xunbao Plan to add tolling, parking, parcel pickup and food ordering to smart cockpits.

The two companies introduced the results of Alipay Car Assistant’s integration with Spark Smart Cockpit 3.0. Under the unified scheduling of iFlytek Auto Master Agent, they plan four service scenarios for drivers: highway no-scan tolling, parking no-password payment, package pickup reminders and smart ordering.

In the highway scenario, after user authorization, Alipay deducts tolls without scanning. For parking, the vehicle can complete password-free payment when leaving. For parcel pickup, the system combines the route home to remind users to collect packages. For food ordering, it uses estimated arrival time, taste preferences and discount information to support advance orders and pickup at the store.

Alipay says its payment capability, ecosystem network and credit system support in-car AI calls to life services and transactions. The companies want the cockpit to understand requests, call services and complete payments, in addition to responding to users.

Han Zhenwei, general manager of Alipay Digital Car Life, said at the event that the next stage of smart cockpits required making services land, beyond improving AI dialogue. Alipay will serve automakers through two capabilities: service fulfillment and user operations. It will rely on a payment loop to improve in-car life services and use Alipay’s user connection capabilities and owner benefits to help automakers conduct refined user operations.

Under the Xunbao Plan, Spark Smart Cockpit is responsible for understanding user needs and scheduling capabilities, while Alipay Car Assistant provides life services and payment fulfillment. The companies will deepen cooperation on account interoperability, in-car AI payment and owner credit pay-later services, and work with more automakers and ecosystem partners to expand smart cockpit life service scenarios.
