Alipay's AI assistant 'Xiaozheng' launches smart marriage registration service for Qixi

The service uses MCP technology to connect with the official capabilities of Mintong. For high-frequency questions such as registration conditions, required materials, procedures, and cross-registration rules, Xiaozheng provides AI-based answers and guidance, as well as a query function for marriage registration offices. Users no longer need to search across multiple pages; they can simply say "book marriage registration" to quickly access relevant services and instructions.

Since its official launch in September 2025, Xiaozheng has helped more than 100 ministerial and provincial government agencies build intelligent agents, covering 16,000 government service items in high-frequency livelihood scenarios such as social security, housing provident fund, public security, and real estate. The cumulative number of services has exceeded 100 million, gradually forming a replicable and iterable smart government service capability.

The new marriage registration service further expands Xiaozheng's application in vertical livelihood scenarios. During peak marriage registration periods like Qixi, the AI can handle policy consultations, service inquiries, and online reservations, helping to improve the efficiency of online service response and coordinating with offline marriage registration services.

In the future, Alipay's Xiaozheng will continue to collaborate with more government agencies, using MCP and Skill approaches to connect more real and credible professional services into the AI system, allowing service capabilities to be directly invoked by AI. This is expected to continuously expand high-frequency convenience service scenarios and enable AI to move from "being able to answer" to "being able to handle things."
