Almanac (YC S26) Launches AI Agent That Pre-Compiles Company Knowledge

The agent connects to accounts such as Gmail, Calendar, Granola, and PostHog with one click, separating personal and shared accounts so that one co-founder cannot see another's private data. The system organizes pulled information into two wikis: a personal wiki that tracks who the user is, their preferences, and life events, and a company wiki covering the business, roadmap, and blockers. The agent accesses both wikis and the original accounts to answer questions and execute tasks.

Almanac was built by three co-founders, Rohan, Kushagra, and Divit, who have been friends for 11 years since studying for the IIT-JEE. They previously built products for Harvard and NASA, spending over a year on wikis for AI. Their key differentiator is spending more compute upfront on pre-compiling the knowledge base, rather than treating memory as an afterthought.

The pre-compiled knowledge base enables a proactive agent that runs in the background and suggests tasks it can automate, such as preparing a draft of a fundraising pitch deck. It also supports long-horizon tasks, allowing the agent to pick up work days later, handle email follow-ups, and notice replies hours later to draft contextual responses.

Since launching, users have run a dog-rescue operation through Almanac, tracked fosters and consent-form reminders, researched Polymarket strategies with memory of past strategies, and built marketing campaigns without re-explaining the business. On privacy, Almanac only accesses explicitly connected accounts, OAuth credentials are held by its connection provider, and only the wiki and citation sources are retained, with emails kept as Markdown.
