Amazon Cuts $100 Off Samsung Galaxy A57 5G and Discounts 1TB Samsung T7 SSD

Android Authority reported that the Galaxy A57 5G is Samsung's top Galaxy A-series phone for 2026, positioned as an upper mid-range model with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung has made it slimmer and lighter than the previous model, with styling that borrows cues from its flagship phones. The device has a triple rear camera setup and a 5,000mAh battery intended for all-day use. Android Authority described its performance as well rounded for everyday tasks, multitasking and casual gaming, and pointed to Samsung's interface, ecosystem features and long-term support as key strengths. TechRadar reported that the 1TB Samsung T7 portable SSD uses NVMe storage and USB 3.2 Gen 2 connectivity to reach sequential read speeds up to 1,050MB/s and write speeds up to 1,000MB/s. The aluminum drive measures 3.3 by 2.2 by 0.3 inches, weighs about 2.1 ounces and is designed to survive drops of up to six feet. It includes AES-256 hardware encryption. Samsung supports recording compatible high-resolution video directly to the T7, including ProRes 4K at 60fps from supported iPhones. TechRadar said the reduction from $274.99 to $229.99 saves 16 percent and is a welcome price cut in 2026, but it remains expensive for a 1TB external SSD by historical standards. In 2023, before component prices rose, the drive was available for $64.99, and TechRadar does not expect that price to return for a very long time, if ever.

TechRadar's buying guidance said the T7 is worth considering for people who frequently move large files between devices and need something faster than a hard drive, especially if they carry important work or personal files and can use hardware encryption. It advised skipping the drive for shoppers whose priority is maximum storage for the money, because the T7 carries a premium for SSD performance, compact dimensions and portability.
