Amazon cuts eero Pro 7 mesh router ahead of Prime Day, with the three-pack at $600 in the U.S. and £525 in the U.K.

The eero Pro 7 is a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 system built for households and remote workers who want extensive coverage without complex setup. It operates on the 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz bands and includes two 5GbE Ethernet ports on each unit. A three-pack is claimed to cover up to 6,000 square feet, while a single unit covers up to 2,000 square feet and supports more than 200 connected devices. Amazon rates the system at up to 3.9Gbps wireless speeds and says it supports internet plans up to 5Gbps. TechRadar described the main selling point as ease of use, saying the eero Pro 7 is ultra-easy to set up and works well for short- and mid-range coverage. It is a set-and-forget mesh system that users can add to over time. The Pro 7 is backward compatible with previous Eero generations, and older and newer eero models can be added to the same mesh network.

The report also noted limitations. The eero app is streamlined, making it easy to use but not especially practical for networking enthusiasts, according to TechRadar. Users cannot split bands for different devices, and some features, including parental controls, require an eero Plus subscription.

The U.S. reduction from $799.99 to $599.99 takes $200 off the three-pack, equal to a 25% saving, TechRadar reported. The eero three-pack has retailed for as low as $540 in the past, so the current deal price is not a large difference from that historical low. In the U.K., the three-pack is £525, down from £750. Amazon is presenting the early discounts as a way to beat the sales rush before Prime Big Deal Days.

Other eero models are also discounted. TechRadar said a cheaper eero model with a 6GHz band is listed at £337, down from £450, for users who do not use Wi-Fi 7 devices or need features such as MLO; it supports internet speeds up to 2Gbps. The eero Max 7 is priced at £1,190, down from £1,700, and is positioned as the next step up for NAS drives, media backup and constant streaming, with a 4x4 radio system and 10GbE ports. The eero Pro 7 tops out at 5GbE.

For buyers considering the Pro 7, TechRadar's assessment is that it suits those who do not want to think about their internet again and those upgrading from an older Eero system. It is less suited to users who want granular control over wireless connectivity, the report said. All current eero Pro 7 single and multi-packs are discounted, TechRadar said.
