Amazon cuts TP-Link Deco 7 BE5000 Wi-Fi 7 mesh three-pack to $208.73

Amazon has cut the price of the TP-Link Deco 7 BE5000 three-pack to $208.73 from $299.99, according to TechRadar. The dual-band Wi-Fi 7 mesh system covers up to 6,600 sq. ft. and supports more than 150 devices.

Mesh Wi-Fi systems are used when a single router struggles to provide a reliable connection throughout a larger home. The three-pack spreads access points around a building rather than relying on one centrally located router.

The three-pack is rated to cover up to 6,600 square feet and support more than 150 devices. Each Deco BE25 unit includes two 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports and AI-Roaming. The system provides dual-band Wi-Fi 7, operating on the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands rather than adding a dedicated 6GHz band. TP-Link rates it for combined wireless speeds of 5Gbps, with theoretical speeds of up to 4,324Mbps over 5GHz and 688Mbps over 2.4GHz, TechRadar reported.

It also supports MLO, or Multi-Link Operation, a Wi-Fi 7 feature that lets compatible devices use multiple wireless links at the same time. The system includes HomeShield and AI-Roaming. Because it is a dual-band design, it lacks the dedicated 6GHz band found on more expensive tri-band Wi-Fi 7 systems, TechRadar said.

The current price is not the lowest the kit has sold for recently. TechRadar said the three-pack was available on Amazon for $175.93 a couple of months earlier, and it could fall again when Black Friday arrives.

TechRadar said buyers should consider the Deco 7 Dual-Band BE5000 Wi-Fi 7 Mesh System if their existing router leaves weak or unreliable Wi-Fi in parts of the home and they want a system that can be expanded later. All Deco routers can work together, so additional units can be added if needed.

TechRadar said buyers should skip the system if they already have a reliable Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 6E system that covers their home and they do not own devices that can take advantage of Wi-Fi 7. Upgrading only for the newer wireless standard would provide little immediate benefit, according to the report.

For buyers considering alternatives, the Deco 7 Pro three-pack provides tri-band Wi-Fi 7, coverage up to 7,600 square feet, four 2.5Gbps ports per unit, AI-Roaming, HomeShield, VPN support and connectivity for more than 200 devices, TechRadar said.
