Amazon deals: TerraMaster NAS, Samsung SSD, WD drive, Baseus power bank discounted on Sept. 1
Amazon price cuts on Sept. 1 include a TerraMaster 4-bay NAS, Samsung 2TB 990 Pro SSD, WD 6TB drive, and Baseus 67W power bank, saving up to 57%.
According to TechRadar, the TerraMaster F4-425 Pro NAS dropped to $680 from a list price of $799.99. The diskless unit is powered by an eight-core Intel N350 processor, 16GB of DDR5 RAM expandable to 32GB, and has four SATA bays plus three M.2 NVMe slots for caching. Dual 5GbE LAN ports deliver up to 1,010MB/s with link aggregation, and TOS 7 introduces the OpenClaw AI assistant for natural-language system administration. TechRadar gave the NAS four stars in a review, praising the move from 2.5GbE to dual 5GbE and the third M.2 slot. It noted, however, that the M.2 slots run at PCIe Gen 3 x1 only, capping NVMe speed at roughly 1GB/s, and there is no 10GbE, Thunderbolt, or USB4 option. The single RAM slot also requires removing the included 16GB module to upgrade, and the drive trays lack locks and labels.
TechRadar also reported that Samsung's 2TB 990 Pro SSD is available for $389.99, down from a nominal $639.99 reference price. The drive, which earned a perfect five-star review from TechRadar, offers PCIe 4.0 sequential read speeds up to 7,450MB/s and write speeds up to 6,900MB/s, with 2GB of LPDDR4 cache and a five-year warranty. TechRadar noted that the $639.99 list price is inflated; typical street pricing has ranged from $420 to $480, so the current deal is close to a multi-month low. It also pointed out that this is a PCIe 4.0 drive, not PCIe 5.0, and the configuration does not include a heatsink.
In another TechRadar deal roundup, the WD 6TB Elements Portable External Hard Drive fell to $259.99 from $319.99. This is a traditional USB 3.2 Gen 1 hard drive with speeds up to 5Gbps, a compact 4.35 x 3.23 x 0.83-inch enclosure, and bus-powered operation. It comes formatted for Windows and can be reformatted for Mac, but lacks bundled backup software and hardware encryption.
Separately, Android Authority reported that the Baseus Mini Power Bank Fast Charging 67W dropped to $29.99 from $69.99, a 57% discount and the best price seen this year. The power bank packs a 10,000mAh battery, up to 67W fast charging, two built-in braided USB-C cables, a digital display, and pass-through charging. It weighs about 7.4 ounces and can top up phones, tablets, handheld gaming devices, and some USB-C laptops.
