Amazon Discounts Fire HD 10 as It Phases Out Tablets; Hisense U6SF Pro Review Praises Value
Amazon phases out Fire HD tablets with Fire HD 10 discounted to $72.99; TechRadar praises Hisense U6SF Pro TV for value.
The Fire HD 10 (2023) features a 10.1-inch 1080p display, up to 13 hours of battery life, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It runs Amazon's Fire OS and supports Alexa Plus, which is free for Prime members. Although it is not the fastest tablet, The Verge notes it remains a solid option for watching movies, reading books, or browsing the web, and it will continue to receive security updates. The tablet can also sideload Android apps, though performance may be limited by its low-end specs. The Fire HD 10 is now slightly cheaper than the smaller Fire HD 8.
TechRadar's review of the Hisense U6SF Pro praised its picture quality for the price, its Alexa+ voice assistant that is more accurate than other AI assistants, and its good sound quality with well-implemented audio features. The TV comes in sizes from 55 inches ($499.99) to 100 inches ($2,299.99) and offers a native 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support, and two HDMI 2.1 ports. However, the review noted quite a bit of vignetting, a lack of detail in shadows, and no hands-free control. The Hisense U6SF Pro was released in March 2026 and runs Fire TV with Alexa+ built-in.
