Amazon Discounts Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic and 40mm LTE Galaxy Watch 8
Amazon cuts Galaxy Watch 8 Classic to $389.99 and 40mm LTE Galaxy Watch 8 to $269.99, Android Authority reports.
Android Authority said the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is Samsung's premium classic-style smartwatch for 2025 and marks the return of the rotating bezel. The model pairs a stainless-steel body with a traditional watch look while keeping the features Android users expect. It comes mainly in a 46mm size, with Bluetooth and LTE versions available and black, white or silver color options. Samsung positions it above the standard Galaxy Watch 8, giving it a more high-end feel and a tactile way to navigate menus.
On software, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic runs Google Wear OS with Samsung's latest watch software, according to Android Authority. It adds Galaxy AI and Gemini-style assistance, along with updated health tools. Fitness and wellness features include sleep tracking, workout support, ECG and blood-pressure-related tools in supported regions. Battery life is generally better than the smaller standard model, with typical use landing around 1.5 to more than two days depending on settings, the publication said.
Amazon has the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic at $389.99, down from its $549.99 recommended retail price. That is a 28% discount, or $160 in savings. Android Authority reported that while it is not the lowest price seen this year, it is the best price since the previous Prime Day.
For the standard Galaxy Watch 8, Amazon dropped the 40mm LTE version to $269.99 from $349.99, saving $80, or 23% off the recommended retail price. Android Authority said this is the best price on Samsung's small LTE smartwatch since the last Prime Day sale, when it was only $4 cheaper.
Android Authority said the Galaxy Watch 8 is suited to users who want a smartwatch that stays connected without a phone nearby. It has built-in cellular support for calls, messages and apps, plus 64GB of storage. Samsung includes health and fitness tools such as sleep tracking, energy scoring, heart monitoring and workout features. The publication described the design as slim and lightweight, with a refined fit compared with earlier standard Galaxy Watch models, making it more comfortable for smaller wrists.
The 40mm LTE version has a 325mAh battery, and Android Authority said battery life is generally closer to a daily-charge device, especially when LTE and health tracking are active. For buyers seeking a Wear OS watch with phone-free connectivity, the publication said the Prime Day price cut makes this a good time to buy.
