Amazon drops 64GB Kindle Scribe to record-low £279.99
Amazon has cut the 64GB Kindle Scribe to £279.99, its lowest-ever price and down from £429.99, TechRadar reports. The deal includes the Premium Pen, new writing features and AI additions, while the 16GB model is only £15 cheaper.
TechRadar said the deal is for the 64GB version of the newest Kindle Scribe. The publication noted that although the previous-generation model may have been cheaper, the newer version includes the Premium Pen, new writing features and AI additions as standard.
The lower-capacity 16GB model has also been discounted, but it is only £15 cheaper, TechRadar reported, meaning buyers do not pay a lot extra for much more storage space.
The Kindle Scribe combines Amazon's popular ereaders with the writing functions of e-ink tablets, according to TechRadar. Users can read books, make annotations, take notes, review documents, journal and create lists using the included pen.
The device features a 10.2-inch 300ppi glare-free high-resolution display with an adjustable warm light and an auto-changing front light, similar to the Kindle Paperwhite, to provide clear and comfortable reading in all conditions, TechRadar said.
TechRadar awarded the new Kindle Scribe 4.5 stars. It said the original Kindle Scribe was a little disappointing because of missing features, but after updates and upgrades to the new model, the device offered good value as a multi-functional option.
