The official Amazon page for the second-generation Echo Auto now shows the device as “Currently unavailable.” It provides no restocking timeline or estimated delivery date. Direct search queries for the product no longer surface the device, according to the report.

The missing listing was first flagged by users on Reddit who were tracking upcoming seasonal sales. They noticed the Echo Auto was no longer discoverable through direct search queries.

Amazon launched the first-generation Echo Auto in 2018. The second-generation Echo Auto arrived in 2022, designed to bring hands-free Alexa functionality to older cars that lacked native infotainment systems.

The Echo Auto is one of Amazon’s niche smart home offshoots. Its apparent withdrawal from active sale comes as Amazon gears up for refreshes across its consumer hardware portfolio. Android Authority reported that those plans could include redesigned Fire TV Sticks and new Kindle models.

The report said buyers are left to wonder whether Amazon is quietly pulling the plug on its in-car dongle. The product page’s “Currently unavailable” label and the absence of direct search results are the visible signs cited.
