Amazon launches early discounts on Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8
Amazon has cut $300 from the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and $150 from the Galaxy Z Flip 8, marking early discounts on Samsung's newest foldables.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is Samsung's first Ultra foldable and sits above the standard Z Fold 8. It is a thinner, lighter book-style phone built for premium productivity, with a more traditional smartphone-like outer screen. Samsung gives it a 6.5-inch cover display, an 8-inch main folding display and a sharper inner-panel resolution than earlier models.
Under the hood, the Fold 8 Ultra uses a flagship Snapdragon chip and puts a strong focus on AI features for multitasking and on-device experiences. Battery details indicate roughly a 5,000mAh cell, and it supports faster wired charging than previous Fold phones. The camera setup includes a 200MP main sensor, a feature that helps distinguish it from the regular Z Fold 8.
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 keeps the pocket-friendly clamshell design but adds a slimmer profile, a 6.7-inch inner display and a larger 4.1-inch FlexWindow. The outer screen gains more AI features aimed at hands-free use and cover-screen interactions, allowing users to get more done without opening the phone. It also supports Samsung DeX, letting the device act as a compact workstation when connected to a larger display.
The Flip 8 is built around a 4,300mAh battery and offers what Android Authority called a polished compact foldable experience. It is a refined update rather than a full redesign, and its Amazon listing carries a strong 4.5-star rating.
Android Authority noted that the Fold 8 Ultra's 14% discount makes the foldable more tempting than at its full launch price, and the Flip 8's reduction is a significant deal on a recently launched device. The reported price cuts apply to Amazon listings of both Samsung models.
