Amazon Opens Early October Prime Day Deals Before Oct. 6 Event

Amazon has begun early Prime Big Deal Day discounts on Ring, Fire TV, Echo, tablets, robot vacuums and more ahead of October Prime Day, which runs Oct. 6-8.

Among the early Ring discounts, the Battery Doorbell 2K is reduced from $99.99 to $39.99 at Amazon and Best Buy. The second-generation model offers 2K video and easy installation, but its battery is built in, so users must disconnect the doorbell to charge it via USB-C. The Floodlight Cam 2K falls from $199.99 to $99.99 at Amazon; it requires wired power and provides 2K resolution with AI tuning, 6x digital zoom, 2,000 lumens and a loud alarm. The Battery Doorbell 4K Pro, the highest-end battery-powered option, drops from $249.99 to $149.99 at Amazon and Best Buy, with 4K recording, 10x digital zoom and a swappable battery.

Amazon's Fire HD 8 tablet with lockscreen ads is $79.99 at Amazon for a 4GB RAM, 64GB model, down from $129.99; Best Buy lists a 3GB RAM, 32GB version for $54.99, down from $99.99. The Fire TV Stick 4K Plus falls from $69.99 to $37.99 at Amazon and Best Buy, adding Wi-Fi 6, Dolby Atmos/Vision and HDR10 Plus. The latest Fire TV Stick 4K Max is $44.99, down from $84.99, with Wi-Fi 6E, double the storage of its predecessor and the new Fire TV OS. The Fire TV Cube (2022) drops from $199.99 to $89.99, offering hands-free voice control, Wi-Fi 6E and faster performance.

The Echo Spot is $54.99, down from $109.99, at Amazon, Best Buy and Target. It has a 2.83-inch squared-off display for time, weather and album art, no camera, and a mic that can be muted for Alexa voice controls. The Echo Dot Max falls from $119.99 to $79.99 at Amazon, Best Buy and Target; it has a redesigned orb shape, knit fabric, a flat face, a new LED ring, touch controls, an improved two-way speaker system and Alexa Plus enabled out of the box. The fifth-generation Echo Dot is also discounted as an affordable smart speaker with robust sound, Matter control, faster responses than its predecessor and the ability to act as an extender.

Beyond Amazon and Ring, the Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Plus carpet cleaner is $209.99, down from $279.99, at Amazon and Bissell. The Ecovacs Deebot X12 OmniCyclone is $799 at Amazon, down from $1,499.99, and $841.99 at Best Buy and $842 at Ecovacs; it uses AI to identify and blast stains and includes a dock that empties the vacuum, washes its rolling mop with heated pressurized water and refills reservoirs. The Blink Mini pan and tilt camera bundle is $23.99, down from $39.99, at Amazon and Best Buy, adding 360-degree control through the Blink app.
