Amazon Prime Day Cuts Fire TV Stick Prices by Up to 67%, but Oura Ring 5 Sees No Discount

Amazon’s Prime Day sale cuts Fire TV Stick prices by up to 67% in the US and UK, according to TechRadar. The Oura Ring 5 has no discount, and TechRadar points to the RingConn Gen 2 Air and Oura Ring 4 as alternatives.

In the US, the Fire TV Stick 4K Select is priced at $17.99, down from $49.99. In the UK, the newest-generation Fire TV Stick HD is £19.99, down from £59.99, a 67% saving. TechRadar said the discounts cover the Fire TV Stick range, from the budget Fire TV Stick 4K Select to the top-of-the-line Fire TV Stick Max, and advised shoppers to compare models because features differ. For Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos, it said buyers should choose the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus or Max.

For US shoppers, TechRadar highlighted the Fire TV Stick HD as cheap and cheerful and the fastest HD streaming stick Amazon has made. It delivers full HD resolution, supports Wi-Fi 6 and comes with the Fire TV Experience with Alexa+ recommendations. Its small size and USB power make it suitable for travel. The Fire TV Stick 4K Select is 64% off, bringing 4K streaming under $20 with HDR10+, though it does not support Dolby Atmos or Dolby Vision. The Fire TV Stick 4K Plus is 37% off and is aimed at gamers, with Xbox Game Pass and Amazon Luna cloud gaming, Alexa+, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The Fire TV Stick Max is 44% off and is the fastest, most powerful model, with Wi-Fi 6E, Xbox and Luna gaming, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, the Fire TV Ambient Experience and 16GB of storage.

In the UK, TechRadar listed the Fire TV Stick 4K at 67% off, calling it the cheapest 4K Fire TV Stick in the Prime Day deals and a good way to add streaming to an HD TV. It has Wi-Fi 6, the latest Fire TV Experience, key apps and an Alexa Remote that can also control a TV and soundbar. The Fire TV Stick 4K Select is 66% off and upgrades the HD model to 4K with HDR10+. The 4K Plus adds Dolby Vision HDR, Dolby Atmos, Luna and Xbox Game Pass, making it a gaming option. The Max is under £50, only £12 more than the Plus, and adds Wi-Fi 6E, the Ambient Experience, Game Pass and Luna gaming, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision HDR.

The Oura Ring 5, which TechRadar said shot to the top of its smart ring recommendations earlier this year, has no discounts in the US or UK during the sale. TechRadar said that made it hard to recommend at full price, because other smart rings on Amazon offer better value. In the US, the RingConn Gen 2 Air is available for $159.20, down from $199. It has no subscription, received four stars in TechRadar’s review and was called “the perfect entry-level smart ring.” It tracks sleep, heart rate, steps, blood oxygen and workouts. TechRadar said users would not miss essential tracking tools beyond sleep apnea and more sophisticated fitness tracking.

In the UK, the Oura Ring 4 Black and Silver models are discounted to £199 from £349, a 43% reduction. TechRadar said the Oura Ring 4 is last year’s model but received 4.5 stars and was named its health and fitness device of the year in 2025. It requires a basically mandatory subscription to the Oura app, but TechRadar said the discount means a buyer could add a year’s subscription and still pay less than for a Ring 5.
