Amazon Prime Day Home Office Deals Enter Day Two With Tested Gear

TechRadar tracks day-two Amazon Prime Day home office deals, from tested chairs and desks to mini PCs and budget gear.

TechRadar said the tracked items range from budget picks to premium pieces. It is also following desk accessories and extras under $50 or £50 that scored well in reviews or that its editors rely on while working from home. A Prime subscription is required for the October Prime Day event, which Amazon calls Big Deal Days, according to the report, and a free 30-day trial is available.

In standing desks, TechRadar named the FlexiSpot E7 Pro as its top overall standing desk, citing a flawless five-star rating in its review. The listed price is for the frame and bamboo desktop, with different options available on the FlexiSpot site. The UK deal was £480, down from £630. For a budget option, TechRadar recommended a FlexiSpot desk that it said performs well in tests, has a stable single-piece desktop, USB ports and a height range of 28.9 to 46.5 inches. Its UK deal was £80, reduced from £94. Another standing desk, described as one of the best the team has ever tested with a 4.5-star score, stood out for a waterfall edge that makes it more ergonomic for wrists; it is US-only right now. Secretlab's sit-stand gaming desk earned four stars and was praised as stylish and well-built, with appeal for gamers and professionals who want cable organization.

For office chairs, TechRadar selected the Steelcase Series 2 as its best overall office chair for most professionals. It received 4.5 stars, and TechRadar highlighted its flexible, supportive Air LiveBack backrest. It is not cheap, but the report described it as the best-priced entry into premium office chairs. Its UK deal was £525, down from £699. A budget chair was recommended for professionals who want many features, including fully adaptive lumbar support, flip-up armrests, lockable recline and a breathable mesh backrest. Most chairs at that price usually involve more compromises, TechRadar said. Its UK deal was £143, reduced from £190. Another chair, tested with a 4.5-star review, delivered all-day comfort at an exceptional price and offered adaptive lumbar support. Its UK deal was £230, down from £350. For lower back pain relief, TechRadar rated a chair with a dynamic LiveBack backrest four stars and called it its top-rated office chair for that purpose. Its UK deal was £915, down from £1219. A Secretlab chair used daily by the reviewer earned four stars and was described as a capable Herman Miller competitor. TechRadar recommended the fabric version over the leatherette model and advised choosing the larger chair because the regular one sits oddly low to the ground. Its UK deal was £549, down from £599 at Secretlab.

In mini PCs, TechRadar highlighted a model with an AMD Ryzen 7 640HS processor, 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB SSD. It was named the top pick mini PC for most people, received 4.5 stars, and was even used for playing games. TechRadar noted USB4 and 2.5G LAN ports as useful extras but said it is not a graphics powerhouse out of the box. Its UK deal was £560, down from £590.

Among accessories under $50 or £50, TechRadar pointed to budget noise-canceling headphones, saying their audio quality cannot be beaten pound for pound. The reviewer uses them every day to block out distractions and take calls at work. TechRadar advised never buying them at full price, describing the current price as the standard sale price and worth picking up in a Prime deal. The UK price was £30, down from £50.

The live coverage continues on day two. TechRadar said readers need a Prime subscription for the best prices during October Prime Day, also called Big Deal Days, and linked to a free 30-day trial with a reminder to cancel before it ends.
