Amazon Prime Day Nears End With Jacket, Gadget, Sonos and Sleep Earbud Deals
TechRadar rounds up final Prime Day deals: waterproof jackets, sub-£50 gadgets, Sonos Beam Gen 2 and Soundcore Sleep A30.
For wet-weather gear, TechRadar said waterproof jackets from The North Face, Rab, Arc'teryx, Patagonia and Columbia are discounted by up to 50%. The article advised shoppers to stick to known and trusted outdoor brands rather than unfamiliar names, and noted that several major outdoor retailers are running sales alongside Amazon.
A separate TechRadar roundup listed 34 Prime Day bargains under £50. The Blink Outdoor 4 Camera with Blink Video Doorbell was priced at £24.99, down from £129.98. Other offers included Loop Quiet 2 Ear Plugs at £15.95, down from £19.95; an Oral-B iO2 Electric Toothbrush at £37.99, down from £100; and an Anker PowerCore 10K Portable Charger at £14.98, down from £17.99. The list also featured a 790-piece Lego box for under £30, 100 AA batteries for under £15, a Philips OneBlade 360 bundle and a Blink Mini 2K+ camera. Most of those deals require Prime membership and were due to end tonight, TechRadar said, with Black Friday in November expected to bring the next major sale event.
For home audio, TechRadar reported the Sonos Beam Gen 2 at $359 in the US, down from $499, and £338 in the UK, down from £449, during the Amazon Prime Day sales. The compact Dolby Atmos soundbar was described by TechRadar's reviewer as one of the greatest small options on the market, with punchy bass, clear dialogue and an expansive soundstage. The article said it uses software processing and virtual height channels rather than dedicated upward-firing drivers, and can be customized in the Sonos app, paired with other Sonos speakers, or used with Sonos Ace or Sonos Ace Ultra headphones. The reviewer said it remains an easy recommendation at the discounted price.
TechRadar also highlighted the Soundcore Sleep A30 earbuds at $159.99 in the US, down from $229.99, and £122.55 in the UK, down from £199.99. A TechRadar writer said he planned to buy them to replace AirPods at night for audiobook listening, because the AirPods protrude and are uncomfortable when he sleeps on his side. The sleep earbuds offer active noise cancellation, weigh 3g each and provide up to five nights of use with the charging case, according to the article. TechRadar reviewer Becca Caddy said the earbuds had become her go-to over the past few months, adding that she does not say that lightly because she reviews audio gear for a living. The app includes sleep-focused soundscapes and free sleep content from Calm, the article said.
The sale coverage also pointed to broader US discounts on Amazon devices, Apple products, headphones, laptops, mattresses, smartwatches and vacuums, and to UK discounts on Amazon devices, Ninja and De'Longhi appliances, Philips and Oral-B beauty products, fashion, gaming, tablets, TVs and wearables. TechRadar said offers in the US included Fire Sticks and Echo devices from $18, Apple products from $28, smart TVs from $69.99, laptops from $199 and mattresses from $89. In the UK, it cited Amazon devices at up to 67% off, appliances at up to 40% off, beauty products at up to 60% off and headphones at up to 50% off.
