Amazon Takes $9 Off New Apple TV 4K in First Discount Before November 13 Launch

Amazon is taking preorders for the new Apple TV 4K at $289.99, a $9 discount, ahead of its November 13 release.

The new Apple TV 4K costs nearly twice as much as the 2022 model did at launch, The Verge reported. It is powered by Apple's new A19 chip and supports Siri AI out of the box. That Siri AI feature will also come to older Apple TV 4K models through a software update. Unlike earlier models, the new version includes far-field microphones for hands-free requests. Users can ask for recommendations, such as nature documentaries available on Apple TV, or ask questions about what they are watching. Siri AI can also understand personal context if an iPhone or iPad connected to the account supports Apple Intelligence.

The device has some other upgrades. The Siri Remote now supports Find My precision tracking, so it can ring when it goes missing or be located through the Find My app on an iPhone. The new Apple TV 4K also supports a wider surround-sound setup, allowing users to pair up to four compatible HomePod speakers instead of two. The Verge's John Higgins noted that Apple skipped features some might have hoped for on a $300 streamer, including audio passthrough and support for 120fps output. The Verge has published hands-on impressions of the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K.

In addition to the Apple TV discount, The Verge highlighted several other deals. Walmart is selling a digital copy of Pikmin 4 for $39.88, $20 off. Most other retailers still charge $59.99, according to the report. The version is for the original Switch, but buyers can upgrade to the forthcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Edition when it arrives on November 12 by purchasing a separate $9.99 upgrade pack. That pack adds improved graphics and a new Dandori Academy mode. The total would be $49.87, about $20 less than buying the $69.99 Switch 2 Edition outright. The Verge has also published a review of Pikmin 4.

Woot is discounting a wide range of OtterBox cases through October 31, including cases for non-foldable iPhones. The Verge noted that Apple's iPhone Duo is now available to preorder even though shipments are delayed into 2027. The sale includes an OtterBox Symmetry Series Clear Case for the iPhone 16, which normally costs $49.99 but is available in various colors for $5.99 with a 90-day warranty. Cases for other iPhones, as well as some Samsung and Google phones, are also included. The Verge said the OtterBox cases have impressed with their durability over years of use.

Amazon is also selling Fanttik's S1 Pro electric screwdriver for $45.99, $44 off, which is $5 more than its best price to date. The cordless screwdriver is designed for small tasks such as tightening screws and assembling desks. It comes with 16 S2 hardened steel bits, a USB-C rechargeable battery, a 220RPM motor, three torque settings and an LED light to illuminate the workspace, according to The Verge.
