Amazon UK Prime Big Deal Days enters final day with Kindle and Switch 2 discounts
Amazon UK's Prime Big Deal Days sale is in its second and final day, with TechRadar reporting discounts on Amazon devices, a record-low Nintendo Switch 2 and other offers. Most deals require Prime membership.
The TechRadar article said its author has covered Amazon's Prime Day sales for almost a decade and is using price-tracking data to flag offers that are among the best it has seen or that rival recent prices after increases and stock shortages in some categories.
Among the Amazon device discounts, the standard Kindle is £84.99, down from £134.99, which TechRadar described as the lowest price this year. Ring doorbells, Blink cameras and Fire TVs are also reduced. The article said the sale remains one of the better times of the year to buy Amazon hardware.
Other highlighted deals include the Nintendo Switch 2 at a record-low price, the Suri Pro Sonic Electric Toothbrush at £83.99 from £105 and Loop Quiet 2 Ear Plugs at £15.95 from £19.95. TechRadar said the Switch 2 had recently received a price increase, making the cut surprising, and that the price is unlikely to be beaten this year.
TechRadar listed broader savings across several categories: Amazon Devices up to 67% off Fire, Ring and Blink products; Amazon Haul an extra 15% off for Prime members; Apple up to £80 off iPads and Apple Watch; appliances up to 40% off Ninja and De'Longhi; beauty up to 60% off Philips and Oral-B; cleaning and groceries from £2; fashion up to 50% off; headphones up to 50% off Anker and Sony; laptops from £127; Fire tablets up to 50% off; TVs from £129.99; vacuums up to 50% off Shark and Dyson; and wearables from Samsung and Oura starting at £31.
Specific products highlighted by TechRadar include the Samsung Galaxy Fit3 at almost £30. It tracks fitness, health and sleep, links to a smartphone for messages, music and gesture navigation, and has a 1.6-inch AMOLED display with up to 13 days of battery life. A 14-inch laptop with an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage was also described as good value and portable for everyday use.
A Ring bundle with the latest Ring Video Doorbell and a Ring Indoor Camera was pitched as a cheap way to start home security. TechRadar said testing showed good video quality, high zoom and color night vision, but noted that some value depends on a Ring Protect subscription. The latest standard Kindle, meanwhile, has a four-week battery life and space for thousands of books. TechRadar said it is a better budget choice than the Paperwhite for infrequent readers, though at £85 the deal is less impressive than a previous £69.99 low.
With the sale on its final day, TechRadar said some products risk selling out and that it will continue to highlight offers until the event ends. It added that the sale could help shoppers spread purchases before November's Black Friday deals. Most offers require an Amazon Prime membership, but new and returning subscribers can get a 30-day Amazon Prime free trial to cover the sale.
