Amazon Unveils Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse AI Devices That Listen to Conversations
Amazon introduced two Bee personal AI devices, the $75 wearable Bee Frontier and the $100 phone-mounted Bee Eclipse, which record, transcribe and analyze conversations. Amazon says audio is never stored and users can delete transcripts and summaries.
The Bee Frontier is an upgraded version of Amazon's existing wearable and can be worn on a wrist or clipped to clothing. Like earlier generations, it offers up to seven days of battery life, but it costs $75, compared with $50 for its predecessor. Amazon acquired Bee, a San Francisco startup known for its always-listening bracelet, in July 2025 for an undisclosed amount.
Amazon said the Bee Frontier's dual microphones have upgraded noise filtering, allowing the device to "take note of what matters and ignore what doesn't, even in noisy environments like a crowded restaurant or open office." The company made the statement in a blog post.
Amazon also introduced the Bee Eclipse, a credit-card-sized gadget that performs functions similar to other Bee devices but is not worn. It magnetically snaps onto the back of a smartphone, according to the company. The Bee Frontier is available Thursday, while the Bee Eclipse "will be available soon," Amazon said.
