Amnezia VPN adds two-year plan with launch discount

Amnezia VPN has introduced a two-year Premium plan, priced at $80, with a limited-time discount of up to 30% until September 15.

To mark the launch, Amnezia is running a limited promotion until September 15, offering 15% off new purchases and 30% off renewals made through the Personal Dashboard. The new plan costs $80 for two years, compared with $30 for six months and $50 for one year. With the current discount, the two-year price drops to $68 for new customers and $56 for existing subscribers renewing.

The company frames the longer commitment as a way to save money, avoid payment-service problems, and eliminate the need to renew for an extended period. Amnezia also notes that signing up now locks in today's rate, shielding subscribers from potential future price increases.

Amnezia is an open-source VPN launched in 2020 at Demhack, a hackathon run by Russian digital rights group Roskomsvoboda. It began as a tool for deploying self-hosted VPN servers and has grown into a wider service with Free, Premium, Self-hosted, and Business tiers. Its main appeal is censorship resistance, with Premium traffic routed through the custom AmneziaWG protocol by default and XRay VLESS as a fallback in tougher network conditions.

Subscribers get servers in 20 countries, coverage for seven devices, and security features including ChaCha20 encryption, a kill switch, and split tunneling. WhatsApp has named Amnezia among its go-to tools for bypassing censorship. The service says it operates a strict no-logs policy backed by independent 7ASecurity audits in 2022 and 2024.

New users can buy the two-year plan directly through Amnezia's payment page with the discount applied. Existing subscribers can renew via the Personal Dashboard on the website or inside the app, choosing the "2 Years" option.
