ANBERNIC launches Switch Lite-style RG 55G1 Android handheld for under $150

ANBERNIC launched the RG 55G1, a Switch Lite-style Android handheld, priced from $139.99 in an early-bird offer.

The report said the company is offering a $10 discount on both models for the first three days, bringing the early-bird prices to $139.99 and $164.99. The RG 55G1 has a design very similar to the Nintendo Switch Lite.

The device is powered by a Snapdragon G1 Gen 2 chipset with active cooling, 4GB to 8GB of RAM, 64GB to 128GB of storage, and a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS screen in a 16:9 format. It has a 6,000mAh battery with 18W wired charging.

Controls include dual Hall effect analog sticks, a D-pad, face buttons, and four shoulder buttons, two of which are Hall effect triggers. Other features include Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 5, a microSD card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, and ANBERNIC’s AI tools for game translation and walkthrough retrieval.

Android Authority notes that despite the Switch Lite-inspired look, the hardware specifications suggest the RG 55G1 is not meant for emulating Nintendo Switch games.
