The timing is particularly difficult for testers who rely on manual installation. One Reddit user said their Pixel was stuck in a reboot loop and was unable to access the OTA file needed to recover it. Google has not publicly explained why the links are broken, and it is unclear whether the company intentionally removed the files while investigating an issue. Android Authority said it has reached out to Google for more information.

The Beta 4 release, which landed late last week, includes fixes for overheating, unexpected reboots, broken app drawer search, Bluetooth call audio problems, notification shade failures, and Face Unlock issues. Pixel 6 and 6 Pro remain unsupported, while Pixel 11 devices have not yet received QPR2 support.

In the same beta, Google has made it easier for Pixel owners to access Voice Broadcast, a feature that turns a Pixel into a personal public-address system. According to Android Authority, the feature was introduced last month but is now much easier to find. It lets users broadcast their voice over, or share audio from a media player through, private listening channels enabled by Bluetooth LE Audio. Recipients’ earbuds or other audio devices must support the technology. The feature expands Pixels’ existing Auracast-based media-sharing capabilities to transmit audio over Bluetooth LE Audio.

Android Authority noted that Voice Broadcast was not included in the official changelog for Beta 4. Google is in the final stages of testing Android 17 QPR2 before a significant feature drop for Pixels in September.
