Ant Group Becomes National Strategic Partner of 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai

Ant Group becomes a national strategic partner of the 48th WorldSkills Competition, bringing AI services to the event.

The competition, described by Leiphone as the world's largest and most influential vocational skills event, has 64 competition events and brings together top skilled talent from more than 70 countries.

For event services, Ant Group is helping the 48th WorldSkills Competition build a dedicated event agent as an official AI intelligent service assistant. Users can search for WorldSkills Connect on Alipay or use offline smart interactive materials with the tap feature to activate the agent. The agent can broadcast event details and provide information on spectating, participating, travel and dining through a single sentence, according to the report.

At the exhibition hall, Ant Group's AI businesses will be displayed. The life service agent Abao supports more than 10,000 services through one sentence, including asynchronous tasks such as coffee alarms and advance ride booking. The Abao car machine agent puts life services into the vehicle, allowing drivers to complete parking payment, movie ticketing and refueling by voice. Other applications include the livelihood agent Xiaozheng, AI glasses that unlock bikes and electronic social security cards for gate passage.

The employment service assistant Xiaoye, which was upgraded at the Bund Conference, shows how Alipay uses AI for employment services and vocational skills improvement. It covers job seeking, interviews, registration, employment, career planning and skills upgrading. A user can state a job need in one sentence; Xiaoye matches positions and supports one-click applications. After application, users can enter an AI interview room, and registration and onboarding can be completed in as little as 24 hours. Public data cited in the report shows Xiaoye AI has helped 10 million person-times with employment.

In vocational education, Xiaoye follows the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security's Skills Illuminate the Future action. It has accumulated 120,000 professional skills course resources and launched more than 120,000 training courses, covering 500 popular occupations and more than 2,000 certificates. It links 18 million job positions, helping workers and vocational students improve skills systematically and expand employment space.

An Ant Group official said the company's participation in the WorldSkills Competition is meant to serve the event with digital capabilities and to use the global skills talent exchange platform to explore more possibilities for AI in daily life and deeper integration with employment services and vocational skills improvement, according to Leiphone.
