Anthropic unveils Claude for Financial Advisors with connectors and workflows
Anthropic launched Claude for Financial Advisors, a plugin adding connectors and workflows for wealth management firms.
The tool is designed to give advisors faster and more direct access to relevant research and data. According to Anthropic, financial advisors currently spend around one-sixth of their time in client meetings, with the rest largely taken up by preparing and researching. The company says Claude could speed up five-sixths of an advisor's work.
Claude for Financial Advisors is intended to sit on top of a firm's existing technology stack and act as a hub that pulls everything together. An advisor could ask it to "prepare me for my 2pm client review," for example, and the assistant would pull in relevant context and wrap up a meeting with notes and follow-up tasks. The first connectors being added include Addepar, BlackRock, Charles Schwab, Envestnet, iCapital, Orion, SS&C Black Diamond, Wealthbox, Wealth.com, Vanguard and Zocks.
Anthropic described two sets of benefits: productivity gains and what firms can do with the time that is unlocked. "Practices can expand their customer base, and offer more of the services they need, like tax, estate, insurance, and retirement planning," the company said. It stressed that the assistant is meant to support, not replace, advisors by handling repetitive administrative work and giving them time to do what they trained for.
The tool is available as a plugin now. Anthropic said Enterprise plans may be better suited to the financial sector in general because they include additional audit logging. The company is also offering a one-time usage credit to new customers who request a license before the end of September.
