Anycubic Photon P1 Max large-format resin 3D printer priced at $849.99 on Amazon
TechRadar recommends Anycubic's Photon P1 Max for large resin prints, citing an 18.3L build volume and a $849.99 Amazon price.
The printer uses a 14-inch 12K LCD and Anycubic's LighTurbo 3.0 light engine. Its build area measures 11.24 by 8.43 by 11.81 inches, and Anycubic claims repeatable accuracy of plus or minus 0.01 mm. TechRadar said the P1 Max includes Auto-Leveling 3.0, which automatically calibrates before printing and checks all four corners, and a 1.9-liter heated resin tank that can maintain temperatures up to 35°C to keep resin at a suitable working temperature. The feature list also includes AI inspection.
TechRadar recommended the P1 Max for experienced makers, designers, engineering teams, and small businesses that need a large-format resin 3D printer for bigger models or batch production. It said the combination of automated calibration, resin heating, and intelligent monitoring is designed to reduce the need for manual intervention during demanding printing projects. The article advised buyers to skip the P1 Max if they are new to resin printing or mainly create small miniatures and occasional decorative models, saying a smaller resin printer such as the P1 costs less and takes up less desk space.
The recommendation draws partly on TechRadar's 4.5-star review of the Photon P1, a smaller resin printer. Reviewer Alastair said the P1 had "been designed for makers and engineers looking for the next step-up." He wrote that during testing he managed "a near unheard of 100% success rate on 20+ prints," and that the quality from the 14K screen was exceptional even with a low workshop temperature because the heated vat kept everything running at optimum temperatures. The P1 Max has a lower-resolution 12K screen, but TechRadar said it offers almost three times the build volume of the P1, making it better suited to larger models and batch printing.
