Apple adds landscape support to TestFlight ahead of iPhone Duo launch

TestFlight 4.4.0 adds landscape orientation and resizable iPhone Mirroring support ahead of the iPhone Duo's launch.

The version 4.4.0 release notes list landscape orientation on iPhone; resizing when using iPhone Mirroring on Mac on devices running OS version 27 or later, in supported countries and regions; and stability improvements and bug fixes.

In landscape, TestFlight switches from a single-column app list to a two-column layout. The app details screen uses the additional horizontal space to place the App and Developer information panels side by side below the What to Test, Preview, and App Description sections.

The Mirroring change follows macOS 27 Golden Gate, released earlier this month, which lets users resize the iPhone Mirroring window in additional aspect ratios. 9to5Mac reported that when the resizing option first appeared in macOS 27 Golden Gate beta 1, many observers read it as an obvious step toward Apple's long-rumored foldable iPhone. That reading gained ground at the iPhone Duo event, the report said, where Apple stated that it had adapted every native iOS app to support the device's many poses on its inner and outer displays.

The iPhone Duo is scheduled to go on presale starting October 16, with availability beginning October 23. It starts at $1,999 in the United States and carries a 5.4-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch foldable inner display. TestFlight is distributed through the App Store.
