Apple is automatically updating some Apple Watch apps for watchOS 27 compatibility ahead of the public release.

The report said Apple has identified an issue that prevents some existing apps from launching on the watchOS 27 beta. To address this, Apple is automatically reprocessing and repackaging the affected apps to correct binary incompatibility, requiring no action from developers.

These updates are being distributed through the App Store with a release note that states: "This app has been updated by Apple to prepare for watchOS 27 compatibility. No new features are included." Apple informed developers that the process will be complete by August 31.

watchOS 27, along with iOS 27 and other new operating systems, is expected to launch to the public around mid-September. Apple's automatic updates are being pushed out well ahead of that release.
