Apple Bundles Apple TV and Apple Arcade Into iCloud+ in More Than 100 Countries

Apple is adding Apple TV and Apple Arcade to iCloud+ at no extra charge in more than 100 countries, while some markets get an Apple Music Select tier.

The bundle applies to the 50 GB iCloud+ subscription. For reference, that tier costs $0.99 per month in the United States. In the supported markets, Apple TV and Apple Arcade are included automatically rather than sold separately or through the pricier Apple One bundle, 9to5Mac reported. The supported countries include India, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Türkiye, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Kenya, Pakistan, Qatar, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Egypt, Ghana, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Nepal, Oman, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Uzbekistan and Zimbabwe, among others.

Some markets are also getting a new Apple Music Select tier as part of iCloud+. According to the report, it includes a handful of ad-free radio stations. Eligible iCloud+ customers can then upgrade to a full Apple Music plan at a reduced price.

9to5Mac said the move suggests Apple is focusing on services growth in smaller territories and price-sensitive developing markets by rolling several services into iCloud+ instead of promoting Apple One bundles. The report said Apple appears to be mostly giving up on pushing Apple One bundles in these markets because the value offered by the new iCloud+ deal is substantially better.

The report also noted that Apple's content services are predominantly English-language based, and that Apple TV produces a handful of local international content that does not really include the countries listed above.

Apple TV is now available in 59 new countries where it was never available before, bringing its total reach to 170 countries, according to 9to5Mac. The iCloud+ bundle is rolling out this month to users in the more than 100 listed markets, which range from Albania and Algeria to Zambia and Zimbabwe. The United States is not on the list.
