Apple expands iCloud+ benefits with HomeKit video upgrades, custom email limits, and AI boosts

Apple adds iCloud+ benefits: HomeKit video upgrades, 10 custom emails, Apple TV and Arcade in 100+ countries, and higher AI limits.

iCloud+ is best known for extra iCloud storage, but the service also includes Hide My Email, iCloud Private Relay, full Apple Invites access and other features. The report said subscribers to iCloud+ or Apple One may be receiving more benefits than they realize.

HomeKit Secure Video received several upgrades ahead of new Home products launching this week. Under iOS 27, the report said, Apple has added 4K support, generated video descriptions, clip searching and noteworthy clips. The changes apply to the HomeKit Secure Video service tied to iCloud+.

Custom Email Domain also expanded. iCloud+ lets users set up personalized addresses for domains they own, a feature aimed at small businesses, families or other users who want custom email. Previously, subscribers were limited to three personalized email addresses. They can now create up to 10 per domain, according to 9to5Mac.

Apple TV and Apple Arcade have been added to iCloud+ in more than 100 countries. The benefit does not apply to the United States, the report said. In supported territories, iCloud+ subscribers now get Apple TV and Arcade at no additional cost, which the report described as a significant upgrade that makes the service a more obvious option in those markets.

Higher AI usage limits are also part of the iCloud+ changes tied to iOS 27. The report said specifics remain unclear, but when Apple unveiled iOS 27, it said select iCloud+ plans would include higher usage limits for AI features. The affected features include Siri AI, new Photos editing tools, Image Playground and more. The report said it had not yet seen evidence that Apple is restricting access to AI features.

All of the improvements have been added with no price change for subscribers, according to the report. The changes broaden the bundle beyond storage and the existing privacy and email tools, although the report did not specify which iCloud+ tiers receive every benefit or the exact limits for AI features.
