Apple Maps Launches Detailed City Experience in Austin, Adds F1 Circuit Guide
Apple Maps is rolling out Detailed City Experience in Austin, Texas, adding detailed landmarks, improved navigation and a Formula 1 guide for Circuit of the Americas ahead of the U.S. Grand Prix.
The Austin update includes detailed renderings of the Texas Capitol building, Q2 Stadium, the Blanton Museum of Art, the Paramount Theater and the Congress Avenue Bridge. The overhaul is similar to Detailed City Experience updates Apple has released in markets such as San Francisco, Chicago and London.
The new detail also affects driving and walking navigation. Apple Maps users in Austin will see improved navigation guidance, more immersive visuals and additional road markings, according to the report, and the changes also apply to Apple Maps in CarPlay.
